It was during that time that I learned the immense comfort that the Scriptures bring and the hope they provide. I am so thankful for your words and I pray they will encourage someone else today. Thank you so very much for being a vessel of nourishment to our souls! Many years ago I struggled with depression. The battle seemed endless and illness incurable. During that time I began to discover His word and they became my medicine. As days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, I suddenly looked back and realized that His word had healed me and set me free from what felt like an unrelenting strangle upon me. His word is so sweet to me and I can truly say that it is the very source of my life!

Thank you for those kind words. Honestly, my insight comes from experience. REALLY hard experiences………the kind that punches you in the gut and feels like you’ve had the wind knocked out of you. I’d NEVER want to go through it again, but I’m thankful for what I’ve learned through it, and what I’m continuing to learn. <3

I just love Psalm 139, it’s hard to select just one verse from it! The verses that stick out the most to me are Psalm 139: 1-2, 9-10, 13, 16. It definitely give me comfort in knowing that God has already known me and outlined everything before me. He knows my strengths and my weaknesses, therefore he can provide me the guidance I need to get through my daily trials and tribulations.

In reply to Nancy. Thanks for sharing Nancy! Both of these verses are so powerful! None of us are perfect. All God wants from us is our faithfulness and trust through it all. What a comfort it is knowing that we are not a reflection of our parents or our children. Those are wise words. :-)

Wow! My favorite verse is always changing depending on the season. Lately, Proverbs 31:30 has been my constant reminder and source of strength. I can get caught up easily in the way I look or even the way people see me. But being a woman who fears the Lord and serves Him with her whole heart is to be praised! As a mom to three girls, this verse is SO important to me. I pray that my girls see the truth in it. Women should be proud of their fatihfulness and consistently with the Lord. I also regularly speak with highs chool girls about this topic as well. Working with them and hearing their hearts guides me to this verse every time. It is my prayer for myself and all the women in my life!
